BD & Client Engagement Specialist (Contract)

Remote, 10-hr/week BD & Client Engagement role with hourly pay + commission on client wins & placements.

We are a Melbourne-based boutique recruitment agency that works with Australian businesses who genuinely value their people. Our focus is simple; helping good employers find great staff, while making the hiring process clear, ethical and effective.
As our business continues to grow, we are looking for someone who enjoys starting conversations with business owners and opening doors to new opportunities.
This role is focused purely on business development and appointment setting. Your role will be to introduce our recruitment services to businesses and book qualified meetings for our director.
This is a flexible contract role suited to someone who enjoys B2B outreach and relationship building.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
Contacting potential clients via LinkedIn, phone and email
Introducing Freedom Recruitment Agency to business owners and hiring managers
Booking qualified meetings for our director
Follow up with potential clients and maintain a simple outreach pipeline
Identify businesses that may benefit from recruitment services
OUR TYPICAL CLIENTS
We work with small and medium sized Australian businesses across industries such as:
Building and construction
Engineering and trades
Hospitality
Facilities management and cleaning services
Administration and operational roles
Allied Health
These are businesses that value good people and want to build strong teams.
ABOUT YOU
You might have experience in:
Appointment setting or outbound B2B sales
Recruitment or talent acquisition
Business development
More importantly, you are someone who:
Communicates clearly and professionally, with an exceptional phone manner
Is comfortable speaking with business owners
Enjoys building relationships (and having fun while doing it)
Is organised, self-motivated and coachable
Take pride in representing a business professionally
CONTRACT STRUCTURE
10 hours per week (flexible)
Paid hourly base rate + commission when new clients are signed
Additional commission when successful placements are made
High performers can earn substantial additional income based on new clients and placements
This contract role has strong earning potential for someone who enjoys business development and wants to contribute to the long-term growth of a boutique recruitment agency.
